My Sent Mail Is Landing in Spam

If the mail you send lands in the recipient's spam folder, it is usually a technical reputation or authentication issue.

  1. Send using the correct SMTP settings: mail.gelecekint.com, port 587, authentication required, username the full email address. Mail sent without authentication easily ends up in spam.
  2. Review your content: subjects in all caps, words like "FREE/URGENT", excessive exclamation marks, and messages that are just one big image trigger filters.
  3. Ask the recipient to add you to their contacts and mark the first message as "not spam".

Technical improvements (we can handle these): SPF (which servers are allowed to send mail), DKIM (a signature proving the mail wasn't altered in transit), and DMARC (the policy combining SPF and DKIM). When these three DNS records are set up correctly, the chance of landing in spam drops significantly.
