Activating an SSL Certificate

SSL encrypts the traffic between a visitor and your site and makes the padlock and https:// appear in the address bar. Your packages include free automatic SSL (AutoSSL).

  1. In cPanel, open SSL/TLS Status.
  2. If there is a green padlock next to your domain, the certificate is active.
  3. If not, click Run AutoSSL; it usually completes within a few minutes to a few hours.

Redirecting to https: In WordPress, set the addresses to https:// under Settings > General; the "Really Simple SSL" plugin fixes mixed-content warnings. On a static site, add a redirect rule to .htaccess. If the padlock doesn't appear, there may be an image/script loaded over http. If AutoSSL can't validate, your DNS isn't pointing to this server; in that case, email destek@gelecekint.com.
