Uploading Files via FTP

FTP is a reliable way to upload files from your computer to your hosting space. It's more practical than the File Manager for many or large files.

You'll need: an FTP client (the free FileZilla) and your FTP server/username/password details.

  1. In cPanel, open FTP Accounts; use the main account or create a new, restricted one.
  2. Under Configure FTP Client, view the server address and port.
  3. In FileZilla, enter the Host, Username, and Password; use FTPS/SFTP if possible.
  4. Click Quickconnect.
  5. Drag your site files into the public_html folder on the right.

Common mistakes: uploading files outside public_html (the site won't appear), having both index.html and index.php present, and using the wrong transfer mode. If the connection won't establish or the upload keeps dropping, a firewall/port may be blocking it; email destek@gelecekint.com with your FTP username (not your password).
